Right in front of the house there is one of the best beaches on Rarotonga – clean, quiet, beautiful spot for snorkeling and swimming with crystal clear turquoise water.
There is a wooden table with benches so each morning you can have your breakfast with sand under between your toes and each night you can sit right in front of your house, listen to the surf and watch the stars. You can often see a lazy starfish and school of little fish right from your bedroom window. If you go further into the water, up to your chest, you have a a view of our majestic mountains covered with lush tropical forest.
The best swimming spot is a few meters to your right, right in front of the house there is a great place for snorkeling and if you walk further to your left you will get to the Avaavaroa passage. It’s booming with fish, turtles and it’s a paradise for experienced divers and kayakers. It is however also very dangerous so please take a lot of care even if you are a good swimmer. If you are not best not to wander there.
At a very low tide you can meet locals who walk on the shallows practically to the edge of the reef in search of sea delicacies. Meet them and check what seafood the island has to offer. There are reef shoes in the house so you If the water is very low and quiet you can venture there with cation. Best make some friends with the local people so you go with someone who knows the place well
